A New Standard in Trypsin Digestion: Introducing TrypsINATOR™

Reliable trypsin digestion is the foundation of mass spectrometry-based proteomics, but missed cleavages, background autoproteolysis, and inconsistent performance in complex samples can all undermine confidence in downstream LC-MS analysis. To address these challenges, we have launched TrypsINATOR™, a new trypsin product for high-specificity, high-efficiency protein digestion — even in demanding proteomics workflows!

TrypsINATOR™ Delivers Superior Digestion Efficiency on Human Cell Lysates

TrypsINATOR outperforms commercial trypsin products in complex proteomics workflows, generating more unique peptides and fewer missed cleavages for confident protein identification. With 99% specificity for arginine and lysine residues, non-specific digestion is minimized. Adding LysCERATOR boosts performance further, increasing fully cleaved peptides from 81% to 88%. TrypsINATOR™ Delivers Minimal Autoproteolysis for Confident Peptide Mapping

TrypsINATOR is a recombinantly expressed, reductively methylated trypsin with high resistance to autoproteolysis. Digestion of trastuzumab showed considerably lower autoproteolysis than competitor products, and no detectable self-digestion was observed when the enzyme was incubated alone. This minimal autoproteolysis delivers cleaner mass spectra and more confident peptide identification for peptide mapping workflows. Learn more!

Together, these performance characteristics define what we mean by a new standard in trypsin digestion — combining high digestion efficiency, high Arg/Lys specificity, and minimal autoproteolysis to support confident protein identification.

TrypsINATOR is available as a single enzyme (TrypsINATOR Lyophilized) or pre-mixed with LysCERATOR (Lys-C) in the TrypsINATOR LysCERATOR Mix Lyophilized.

If you’re exploring improved trypsin digestion for your proteomics workflow, TrypsINATOR™ is available from Genovis today! 💫
