FabRICATOR® Xtra for Ultrafast Antibody Digestion

FabRICATOR^® Xtra LALA is an IgG-specific protease that digests below the hinge of antibodies which have been engineered to contain mutated hinges. While traditional in-solution digestion typically requires 30 minutes to several hours, microdroplet digestion enables efficient subunit generation in less than 1 millisecond during spray ionization.

Combined with flow injection analysis (FIA) and online high-resolution mass spectrometry, the method delivers a total analysis cycle time of just 1 minute per sample. For highly digestion-resistant antibodies such as PD-L1 (LALA-PG mutated), this represents a digestion speed up to 9 million times faster than conventional approaches.
