NIMT®FeOfection|PURPLE is a mild transfection reagent which imposes very low cell cytotoxicity. A solid iron oxide core provides a stable nano-carrier of lipids with minimal or no effect on cell viability. Lipids that stay on the particles give less impact on cell membranes and thus minimal toxicity.
Optimizing the amount of transfection reagent needed to achieve efficient gene silencing in different cell lines is recommended. To reduce off-target and nonspecific effects in the cell, the lowest amount of transfection reagent concentration that yields the desired level of knockdown should be used. |
