Imaging services
Genovis offers a broad knowledge within physics, biology and biochemistry to perform preclinical MR studies at clinically relevant field strength. Proof of mechanism and/or proof of concept of a new clinical product can be evaluated at an early stage of development without the high costs associated with clinical MR machines.
Genovis offers complete MRI studies to clients, including study design, in vivo and in vitro model development. We also offer expertise help with theoretical questions and issues concerning MR imaging.
MRI provides unique information that differs from other imaging modalities in a non-invasive way and without using ionizing radiation. Genovis can therefore offer longitudinal studies where the progression of a disease can be followed over time. MRI can characterize and discriminate among tissues using their physical and biochemical properties. MRI produces sectional images of equivalent resolution in any projection. Genovis offers MRI for example in the area of oncology for characterizing different preclinical in vivo models and monitoring the efficacy of therapy in oncology. Other examples of preclinical applications are the study of liver fibrosis / cirrhosis diffusion and perfusion imaging, pharmacokinetics and dynamic contrast enhanced imaging.
