NIMT®FeOfection|TESTKIT
NIMT®FeOfection | TESTKIT is a set of three different transfection reagents for DNA transfection and delivery of siRNA and shRNA vectors into mammalian cell lines. The Test Kit contains NIMT®FeOfection | YELLOW, NIMT®FeOfection | PINK and NIMT®FeOfection | PURPLE all with an iron oxide core but with different coatings on the surface for delivery in a broad range of cell lines.

The NIMT®FeOfection transfection reagents are all developed specifically for transfection of DNA or siRNA. NIMT®FeOfection | YELLOW and NIMT®FeOfection | PINK are optimized for transfection of DNA into both suspension and adherent cell lines whereas NIMT®FeOfection | PURPLE is developed for delivery of siRNA into adherent cell lines. However, they all might work very well for both transfection of DNA, shRNA vectors and siRNA in a particular cell line. With a set of all three transfection reagents try out which transfection reagent that works best for your specific application and cell line!
The transfection procedure using NIMT®FeOfection is very easy and quick. Just add DNA or siRNA to NIMT®FeOfection, incubate for 20 min and then add to cells. Read out your transfection 24-48 hrs post transfection.
The magnetic core of the nanoparticles offers a possibility of combined delivery and imaging. The nanoparticles can easily be traced with MRI and used in labelling of cells.
siRNA Delivery |
NIMT®FeOfection |PURPLE is ideal for delivery of siRNA into adherent cell lines such as HEK293, 786-O, MEF and hMSC. NIMT®FeOfection |PINK transfects siRNA into hMSC.

Transfection of plasmid DNA – suspension cell lines |
NIMT®FeOfection |YELLOW + NIMT®Booster transfects plasmid DNA in difficult to transfect suspension cell lines such as K562 and jurkat cells as well as adherent cell lines i.e HEK 293 and U2OS.
|
Transfection of plasmid DNA – adherent cell lines |
NIMT®FeOfection |PINK transfects plasmid DNA into adherent cell lines i.e COS-7.
NIMT®FeOfection |PINK + NIMT®Booster is suited for transfection of plasmid DNA into adherent cell lines such as HEK293 and U2OS. |
