NIMT®FeOfection|PINK

 

Different cell types have different needs for optimal uptake of macromolecules, such as transfection complexes with DNA or siRNA. NIMT®FeOfection products are designed to be optimal for those needs. NIMT®FeOfection is formulated to achieve consistently high transfection rates with markedly reduced toxicity.

NIMT®FeOfection|PINK consist of nanoparticles with an iron oxide core. The particles are coated with cationic lipids that bind DNA or siRNA and promote uptake of transfection complexes into cells. The superparamagnetic particles offer the possibility of combined delivery and imaging since the particles easily can be visualised with MRI

NIMT®FeOfection|PINK is suited for

  • DNA transfection in adherent cells such as COS-7 and HEK 293
  • siRNA delivery in adherent cells such as hMSC (human mesenchymal stem cells)

NIMT®Booster can be added to NIMT®FeOfection|PINK during the complex formation with DNA (not siRNA). The addition of NIMT®Booster has been shown to improve the transfection efficiency several times on some adherent cells (e.g. U-2 OS).
