NIMT® FeOlabel
Genovis NIMT® FeOlabeling products are based on the inherent property of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles to be easily seen by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Long-term, sensitive and low toxicity labeling that fades only very slowly over time is achieved by providing the iron oxide particles with an outer coating that facilitates their uptake by living cells. More than 95% of the cells are transfected with NIMT® FeOlabel within a few minutes. The intracellular labeling provide the cells with a magnetic property strong enough to enable cell sorting using magnetic cell separation with lab magnets and high gradient magnetic field columns. Genovis also supplies fluorescently labeled magnetic nanoparticles, providing researchers with the possibility for dual detection.
Intracellular magnetic labeling of cells has never been easier – just add the specially formulated NIMT® FeOdots to your cells and incubate. No more elaborate work with transfection agents to get sufficient labeling, for example, for MRI visualization.
